Run by volunteers, our village hall is a charitable community facility that is available open for bookings.
We want to encourage regular users that wish to offer classes, clubs, activities and services that promotes the well-being of local residents.* As well as provide a venue for single use public events and functions.
Like most charities, we are proud to have managed to keep running through the unprecedented challenges the Covid-19 pandemic presented. We now face the cost of doing business/living being experienced by all and are making some changes to our booking process to help us to continue to keep our hall open and operating sustainably.
New price list
Hire charges – A refreshed pricing structure was introduced on 1 April 2023.
To help attract and retain volunteers it was agreed in February 2025 to pilot a benefit to those who actively volunteer their time. Active volunteers will be able to apply for a hall booking discount. This will be considered on a case by case basis by the committee. (eg. regularly attend hall committee, lead and contribute to the running of the hall and community events, funding applications)
Our standard terms and conditions of let of Fairburn Memorial Hall must be read and accepted by all bookers.
Hallmaster
We use an online booking system ‘hallmaster’ to help us mange general booking requests at the hall. If you are looking to enquire about a single event – a party, function or wedding etc. please do contact the booking team to discuss your requirements individual requirements.
The hall is used regularly by local groups, however sometimes they have holidays. So it’s worth checking in!

- Fill in the booking form with your details and any specific requirements
- Activities shown as private unless confirmed to be visible to the public
Please note all bookings should be made online and will be confirmed by the hall booking team as soon as possible.

Don’t worry if you haven’t used our booking system before, it is easy to use, and we are here to help you. For regular users it will make it easier for you to manage and view your own bookings and payments.
If you don’t know the date you wish to book the hall, you can still create an enquiry by following the steps above. The more information you can provide when booking the better and highlight if this date may change. If you are looking to book a life event eg wedding etc, do also contact us directly.

In addition to our standard terms and conditions, the hall’s COVID-19 health and safety risk assessment is kept under review in line with Scottish Government COVID-19 and relevant sectorial guidance. We ask hall bookers to review and follow any changes.
